the last call
The Last Call
There comes that point in the evening,
when the loudest of all silences takes place.
The last song is finishing its last note,
and you are left to make a decision.
No more hiding behind a drinking glass,
and no more visits to go powder your nose.
This is it, the moment when you decide,
if you're going to go for what's in this room,
Or let the opportunity pass,
And live with never knowing what might have been.
Both can fulfill a need, and both can leave you with regret.
So the question becomes, are you looking for fulfillment,
Or just a temporary escape from being alone?
Choose wisely. Life doesn't give refunds.
[I am looking for a temporary escape that will gives me fulfillments and gratifications *grin*]

Bloggers RuLe
Kate Baggott has written an article called "Show Me Your Context, Baby: My Love Affair with Blogs," in which she makes the following comment:
"In lieu of charisma, bloggers possess a magnetism that would repel in any other medium. Bloggers are like the smart and difficult students who interrupted every lesson with sarcastic commentary and passed their exams with audacity and contempt for their schools, their subjects, their teachers and the exams themselves. They do not write for audiences or according to deadline. They comment because they have something to say".
and later, she writes,
"If the pen is still mightier than the sword, then the pen has been dulled, emptied and badly refilled by traditional media. Blogs, as yet, are the only sign of the new revolution, the new democracy, and the new nervous system. New media blogs are our one true hope if their legions expand and voices of reason are heard. I believe in the wisdom and might of blogs and bloggers, but I believe it with the same fear and hope that lovers do when they cling to each other in any fresh spring romance. Like the lovers, I do not know if my belief is ultimately sustainable or just naive, but like the lovers I will let it bloom in all its good feeling".
Aww...I like this woman . . .
Don't u?
